Research

Throughout the day, during and between meals, the body must continuously determine: (1) how much glucose, fat, and cholesterol should be generated or eliminated, and (2) how to transport those molecules between tissues and fluids. Our lab investigates how insulin signaling controls these processes, and how they become disrupted in conditions like insulin resistance, diabetes, liver disease, and atherosclerosis.
